Project overview
Simorg is a specialized, all-in-one Software as a Service (SaaS) platform developed by Gözen Digital Aviation, designed specifically for the unique operational needs of flight schools.
It provides a single, integrated solution for managing every aspect of a flight training organization, from initial student enrollment to final certification. The platform centralizes the scheduling of courses, aircraft, and classrooms, while also seamlessly integrating instructor management, customer (student) relationship management, and financial tracking.
Problem
The flight school industry has traditionally been underserved by modern, integrated software solutions. Before a platform like Simorg, flight school operators were forced to manage their complex businesses using a patchwork of disconnected and inefficient tools.
This fragmented approach created significant operational challenges:
- Disconnected Scheduling:
A school would use one system for scheduling aircraft (e.g., a whiteboard or a simple calendar), another for assigning instructors, and yet another for booking classrooms. This created constant scheduling conflicts, double-bookings, and immense administrative overhead to keep everything synchronized.
- Lack of Visibility:
It was nearly impossible for an administrator to get a clear, real-time overview of their operations. Answering a simple question like "Which instructor is free to fly this specific plane this afternoon?" required checking multiple sources.
- Manual Financial Tracking:
Linking a student's flight time to their account balance was a manual, error-prone process. Invoicing, tracking payments, and managing student funds were disconnected from the actual training activities, leading to billing errors and cash flow challenges.
- Poor Stakeholder Experience:
The experience was frustrating for everyone. Instructors lacked a single, reliable view of their schedule. Students had no central portal to track their progress, view their upcoming lessons, or manage their payments.
This operational chaos was not scalable and actively hindered the growth and profitability of flight schools.
Goal
The vision for Simorg was to eliminate this operational chaos by creating a
single, powerful, and intuitive platform to run an entire flight school.
The project's core goals were to:

Provide dedicated, user-friendly interfaces for administrators, instructors, and students to manage their specific needs efficiently.

Simorg has successfully delivered a comprehensive solution that transforms how flight schools operate, replacing manual inefficiency with digital precision.
Flight schools using Simorg have eliminated the headaches of manual coordination. The unified scheduling system provides a clear, conflict-free view of all resources, dramatically reducing administrative workload and allowing staff to focus on student success.
With a holistic view of all assets, schools can now maximize the use of their most expensive resources—their aircraft and simulators—ensuring they are generating revenue instead of sitting idle.
The integrated finance module has provided unprecedented clarity into the business. Billing is now accurate and automated, payments are easier for students to make, and administrators have a real-time view of the school's financial performance.
Both instructors and students have been empowered. Instructors have clear, manageable schedules, while students have a professional, modern portal to engage with the school. This has led to higher retention rates for both staff and customers.
